EMS Training
scheduled for May includes; PSHMC Trauma Services via Tele-health May 10th
1300hrs to 1400hrs (Chest Trauma by Michael Day), EMS Live @ Nite May 10th
1845hrs to 2015hrs (Drowning), SCSA’s monthly EMS training, an OTEP module,
May 11th 1830hrs to 2130hrs (Geriatric Emergencies).
SEI
Terry will be instructing a Rhythm Recognition / Manual Defib.
and IV Maintenance class in June
or July we will keep you posted on the dates when they are determined.
Special
events this month include; a DNR pack test May 7th, the Arden
Old Timers Rodeo May 21st and the Northport Races May 22nd.
All three of these events still have openings for crew members.
If you are interested please stop by the Crew Quarters and sign up.
Thank
you for cleaning out your mail files, they look quite nice except for a
few.
The
new Field Training Officer (FTO) program for SCSA Trainees is up and
running. The first monthly
meeting was held May 2nd with a great turn out! The newly
appointed FTOs are:
Gene Fisher, Deanie Franz, Joe
Pittelkow, Fred Haueisen, Alex Dennis, Rachelle Mills, Barb Cartwright and
Julie Buscher.
We currently have 18 Trainees in the program!
The Trainees are allowed to ride with all primary crewmembers,
however only the FTOs are required to fill out evaluation forms.
The monthly FTO meeting will be the first Monday of the month at
1800hrs in the SCSA Training Room. The next required FTO meeting is June 6th
@ 1800hrs.
Check
out pagers; Please do not take one without checking it out, we need to
keep track of them.
The
3rd Annual WESAVE Yard Sale is in the final planning stages.
If you have items to donate to this important fund raiser please
bring them to the SCSA garage area near the inside roll up door (behind the
Team Rescue turn out racks).
When the date is set for this fun event we will let you know.
A reminder;
Mother’s Day is this Sunday May 8th and
Memorial Day is Monday May 30th
(County Offices will be closed to observe Memorial Day).
